APPLICANTS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT SUBMISSION OF THIS FORM DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE FOR INCLUSION AT ONE OF OUR PROJECTS.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS SHOULD NOT BE MADE UNTIL CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE HAS BEEN RECEIVED IN WRITING FROM WAR. A MAXIMUM NUMBER OR TWELVE (12) VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED FOR EACH TWO (2) WEEK PERIOD.
Please complete this booking form together with a letter of motivation and WAR's indemnity disclaimer form (below) - note that for the Marine Project only no vaccinations are required. However, tetanus, typhus and malaria vaccines are recommended. (Doctor consultation is advised before leaving.) Upon receipt our office will acknowledge and confirm your booking. Upon full payment you will receive an 'Information Pack' giving relevant details on our project.
The total financial contribution for a two week stay including accommodation (transportation is extra) is US$20 per day. The balance payment must be made at least 30 days before arrival or upon arrival at project location. Travel arrangements to/from the project are not included. WARF can arrange transport to/from either Phuket Airport (300kms) or Ranong Airport (65kms) at additional cost.
The project committee reserves the right to cancel the marine research at any time, due to circumstances, weather or technical reasons beyond its control. In these circumstances all monies (except booking deposit) will be refunded in full.
