I understand that whilst in Thailand I am a guest of the Kingdom of Thailand, and must abide by the laws of the land. I have a comprehensive personal health insurance policy that can cover any eventuality whilst in Thailand. I have had all the relevant vaccinations: Hepatitis A and B, Tuberculosis (TB), Diphtheria, Rabies, Pertissus and Tetanus. If in the event that I have not been inoculated for the above or am not adequately insured then I agree that I in no way hold the Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand, its staff or representatives there of responsible for any illness that occurs or any injury I may sustain (or expect them to pay for treatment of that injury or illness) while carrying out duties or actions in association with the project or outside the boundaries of these said duties.
-
I also have adequate personal financial resources for the duration of my stay and will not pose a burden on the resource of the foundation.
-
I will be sensitive to local customs; this includes sensitive or modest clothing suited to work being carried out. I understand that WARF's projects are located in a rural area where some of the western ideas have not reached, therefore I will think of myself as a representative of my country, and will act appropriately with all due sensitivity to the community and its inherent customs.
-
I will follow the project rules. Smoking is to be restricted to outdoor and I understand there is a noise restriction in place after 10pm.
-
I understand that WARF, and projects operated by its associates, work on an attitude of full cooperation at all levels. If I have a problem or dissatisfaction with my project it will be conveyed directly to the appropriate WARF representative. I will not spread my dissatisfaction amongst the staff, other volunteers or to outside third parties to the detriment of the Foundation.
-
I understand that any photograph taken of animals is belonging to WARF and the project, I will give copy of those pictures to the project before I leave.
-
I accept that the use of illegal drugs, violence, and cruelty to animals, or behaviour that jeopardizes the future of WARF will result in immediate dismissal from the projects concerned.
-
I will work 6 day a week, 8 hours per day started on ________________ until _______________. (Volunteer will get one day off work each week, however much be prepared to sometimes give up a day off when the project is short-staffed and the needs of the project always come first)
-
I understand that in disregarding this requirement I will automatically terminate my placement as I volunteer and will be required to immediately vacate the project.
