Leam Baa 2 - This is the first year the project surveys this beach. Last year 3 poached nests occurred. The beach is patrolled nightly and has a satellite camp where researchers are dropped by boat each night.
Leam Baa 1 - This is checked by a day survey team each morning. No nests were found here last year. It is not thought to be a popular beach.
Hat Yaou ( Long beach ) - Last year this proved to be the most popular nesting beaches, and historically also. It is patrolled during the night from a main camp at the northern end.
Resort Beach - Despite the northern end of this beach being crowded out by fallen trees. This beach remains a popular beach. A satellite camp is set up in the middle and it is patrolled throughout the night.
Baan Talae Nork - Although close to the old village and jellyfish farm where a lot of boating activity takes place. This beach seems to have remained reasonably popular. Night patrols are conducted here from the WARED centre every night .
The beaches to the south of Baan Talae nork are surveyed during the day to determine any turtle activity. In past seasons some Hawksbill turtle activity has been noted here also.
